Clean-Up Tour Monte Generoso - 21.04.2024
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, the Ferrovia Monte Generoso, in collaboration with the Summit Foundation from Vevey, are dedicating themselves to the environment and nature by rolling up their sleeves and donning gloves for a thorough cleaning.
Program:
9:30 a.m: Meeting at Capolago station
10:05 a.m: Welcome, departure with the cogwheel train to the summit of Monte Generoso
10:45 a.m: Arrival at the summit
10:50 a.m: Distribution of materials and instructions for the day
11:00 a.m: Waste collection along the paths and green areas
12:30 p.m: Weighing and sorting of waste
1:00 p.m: Lunch provided by Ferrovia Monte Generoso at the Self-Service Restaurant for all participants (drink + dish of the day + coffee)
2:45 p.m or 3:45 p.m: Return at your own discretion, depending on the schedule!
Meeting point: Capolago station
Practical information:
Gloves and garbage bags will be provided on-site. If you already have your own pair of gloves, feel free to bring them.
We recommend bringing a snack and a water bottle (e.g., reusable bottle) during the cleanup to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Details regarding the day's schedule will be sent via email to all participants a few days before the event.
The Summit Foundation and Ferrovia Monte Generoso do not assume responsibility for any accidents that may occur during the day. Please note that you will be working in a mountainous environment, which can be very dangerous.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to April 28, 2024.
